Ilyaraja Arunachalam, a 30-year-old software engineer from Infosys in Mahindra city near Chennai, was found dead inside the washroom in his office. A resident of Villupuram district, Ilyaraja would usually travel from Dindivanam in Villypuram to Mahindra city.

According to police, he failed to reach his home on Monday, post work, and his wife was the one to lodge a complaint on Tuesday. The same evening, the man's body was discovered, sans clothes, inside the office restroom. The strange scenario and findings have lead police to believe that this could very well be a case of homicide.

Ilayaraja's family said they suspected a few people to be behind his death but refused to divulge more details. According to a leading daily, when asked, police said they are currently "probing all possibilities." According reports, the staff working in the office spotted his naked body in the office and immediately rushed him to the Chengalpet General hospital. Upon reaching the hospital, the doctor confirmed that he had passed away.

“The post mortem that will be done at Chengelpet General Hospital will reveal more. The police were informed only after he was taken to the hospital,” said Senior Police member, Santosh Hadimani.
