This gym has introduced 'Nap-ercise' - the nap that actually counts as exercise
It's official - There's a gym that lets you nap instead of exercise and you can still burn calories ...
Given the option between sweating it out in the gym to burn those calories, or simply taking a 45 minute nap to lose them, what would you pick? Duhh!

For all you sleepy heads, here's the deal - there is now oficially a sleep-workout! Yes, you read that right, U.K.-based fitness center David Lloyd Clubs has invented the perfect workout class for those of us who'd rather catch up on our ZZZs than burn tons of calories.

Dubbed 'Nap-ercise', the hour-long class consists of 15 minutes of gently stretching followed by 45 minutes of hardcore napping, complete with beds, blankets, and eye masks. According to reports, the room is also set to "an ideal temperature for slumber," just to further help you get into the mood.
While the simple thought of this practice seems so unbelievable, multiple studies suggest that there are some major benefits to taking time for a mid-day nap, which can help you feel better rested, less stressed, and better able to concentrate.

The gym's website reads "Our mid-afternoon studio sleep sessions is 45-minutes long and is designed to reinvigorate the mind, the body and even burn the odd calorie."

Though it's unfortunate that the fitness club has only started rolling out its new class at one location in the UK, let's hope it eventually picks up and spreads around the world.
Until then, we'll just lay back and take comfort from the very fact that there is indeed a nap that can help you burn calories. Ah, now that's what I call progress!
