Gurgaon: 3 men gang rape a woman, throw her toddler to death from an auto

It's disheartening that the beautiful agricultural state of Haryana has become so infamous for its lack of women's safety and that rapes have become such a common phenomenon lately. Barely a month ago, there were two rape cases that created a major stir there, and once again, terror strikes.
Yet another rape in Gurugram has left the nation in utter dismay and disgust. This time, a 22-year-old young woman was allegedly raped by 3 men, who threw her 9-month-old baby out off the auto in which she was travelling, leading to the death of the baby girl.
Reportedly, the woman claimed that the auto driver who was driving her home from her parent's home in Khandsa village, ganged up with two other men and attacked her, while she was on her way.
As soon as the woman began shouting and rebelling against the attackers, her infant began to cry. The men hassled and threatened by the noise that the baby was making, threw the child out of the vehicle, and then took turns to rape the woman.
Gurgaon District Commissioner of Police (DCP), South, Ashok Bakshi told a leading daily, that the woman went on to file a FIR against three men for the death of the nine-month-old daughter. “An FIR under section 304 (murder) was filed on May 30. The woman filed the FIR at IMT, Manesar police station," said the Assistant Commissioner of Police.
Police said that the woman was afraid that her husband might'leave her'if he came to know about the gang rape. Owing to this, she didn’t complain of rape initially, and waited for some time to pass, before she decided to go ahead with it.
On the 3rd of June, a medical examination was conducted and the police are now awaiting the report from the forensic science laboratory. This report is essential to prove that this is indeed, a case of rape.
