Fidget Spinners are taking the internet by storm and here is all you need to know about them

For those who like things that spin, bend, and flick around — this toy is for you. Say hello to the simple fidget spinner that was introduced in the 90's and just like 90's fashion this toy too has made a major come back. 
For the uninitiated, a fidget spinner is a palm-sized propeller-like object that you need to spin and balance the centre pad on your finger.  

Simply type Fidget Spinners on YouTube and you will find numerous videos on of this toy, from the past few months. In Mumbai, you will spot vendors selling it at markets across the city, in local trains and even at traffic signals, for as less as Rs 100.

Fidget Spinners was also mentioned as the must-have office toy for 2017 by Forbes last December, Google Trends show that the interest in fidget spinners began spiking in April.

Seema Hingorrany a clinical psychologist spoke to a leading daily and said- "A fidget spinner helps you to calm down when there's too much activity happening in the pre-frontal cortex of the brain. It's especially useful for those who are restless or constantly on the go.''

Many claims that the fidget spinner helps quit smoking, it helps children and adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The toy can help distract their minds temporarily and refocus.
