Apart from being a prestigious event that has every fashion enthusiast putting their best foot forward, The Cannes Film Festival is about great films, a powerful guest list and a rich history, to name a few.

Made popular in India by the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan a good fourteen years ago, the lovely actress still makes us proud as punch as I write this. Her uber glam red carpet appearances have almost made the headlines and with each year, Ash ups her game a notch higher.

Though Aishwarya remains one of the first Indian actress to make it to Cannes (after Smita Patil and Shabana Azmi), there have been other actresses to join her at the reputed film festival including Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor and Katrina Kaif.
