The singer hails from a small town, Jiaganj in Murshidabad, West Bengal. Singh was born to a Punjabi father and a Bengali mother and always had an inclination and passion towards singing. At the young age of 18, back in 2005, he participated in a singing reality show, he failed to win the show, however, won many hearts and the attention of top music composers.
