Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at Cannes 2017: The diva floors the international media with her red carpet appearance
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's Cinderella dress is a big hit in the West and here's proof.
As Cannes opened its gates for the 70th Cannes Film Festival, in came the uber glam squad from all around the world, dressed impeccably in trendsetting couture. Each attendee on the red carpet always has something unique and fashionable to offer and it's the perfect moment for fashionista's to show off their choices ensembles. As a bevy of beauties stood tall and proud at the venue, posing before the blinding shutterbugs, there was the most beautiful of them all (well, also technically true) - Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Dressed to impress, Ash made her much-awaited appearance on day three of the Cannes Film Festival. As millions of fans anxiously anticipated what she would wear, the moment of revelation had arrived. Donning a Cinderella-inspired gown created by Filipino fashion designer Michael Cinco, Ash took a walk down the red carpet, oozing grace and elegance.
Though this is not the first time her stunning appearances have been spoken about, this one definitely beat the rest and took the fashion game many notches higher. Needless to say, the look was well received by fans and media globally and within minutes, Aishwarya made it to the 'Best Dressed' lists and became a hot topic amongst famed international fashion enthusiasts.
Starting with the designer of the dress himself, Michael Cinco, who was all praise for the actress. In his Instagram posts, the designer gushed about the stunning star, who "looks like a fairy tale princess" in couture from his Impalpable Dream of Versailles Collection.
As mentioned in Harpers Bazaar USA, Ash's look was 'princess-worthy', and was a ray of hope for more killer style at the festival.
Another popular well-known fashion blogger in the West featured Rai on her website and wrote a heartwarming note to the superstar. In the note, she mentioned how in 10 years of her work, she had "never been so moved by one gown, one woman."
Famed international magazine, InStyle, headlined one of their writeups saying: "This Cinderella dress just shit down the Cannes Red Carpet" and went on to saying in the copy, how "everyone else might as well go home because the Cannes Film Festival's red carpet winner has been crowned."
Mrs Bachchan was also on Vogue USA's best-dressed list for Cannes 2017.
Phew! looks like Aishwarya is still on a fierce winning streak (since 1994, actually) and there's just no slowing down for the 43-year-old. As we (im)patiently wait for her appearance today, we'll just keep gawking at her Cinderella moments from yesterday. We love you, Ash. And we just can't get enough.
