The evolved desi women knows what she's looking for and also how to get it. Gone are the days when men were the only ones with the privilege to check out a girl's behind. Women of today are bolder than ever and aren't shying away from expressing their interest or attraction towards a man.

Articles that talk about specifics in men that women love have been done to death. We've all read generic write ups about how women love men that smell good, have a good sense of humour and so on. This one, however, is different. Today, we decided to talk about the qualities in men that specifically Indian women love.

Let's break down the most attractive qualities in a man that we desi's are totally digging.

Warning: Some might be comically unusual. Try not to be Judgy Judgerson.

1. Muscles

Yes, there is rarely a woman who will complain about a man with a good body. However, I've recently discovered a whole lot of Indian women that seem to be a little over enthusiastic about men with good biceps. Gosh, no wonder all the gyms are bursting at the seams with sweaty men in 'ganjis', perfect the bicep curl.

2. Traditional wear

No tux or suit could ever do to an Indian woman, what a man dressed in traditional wear can. Remember the K3G (Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham) dialogue where Kajol says, "Lucknow da kurta, Pathani salwar ... tab lage mard, varna lage bekaar.."? Well, that's what I'm talking about.

3. Filmy-ness

You can't deny that a good number of Indian women have Bollywood influenced minds - and what's more attractive than a man who can make you feel like you're in a movie? Whether it's a Bollywood dialogue delivered at the perfect time, or taking you out on a date to watch DDLJ at Maratha Mandir, filmy-ness is always good!

4. Beards

Say goodbye to the days when women yelled at their boyfriends/husbands for not shaving. A trend that's from recent times, a man with facial hair is the newest chick-magnet on the block. Bearded men have suddenly become synonymous with masculinity and women find that ruggedness really sexy!

5. Intelligence

The modern Indian woman is smart and worldly-wise and likes a man who can add value to her life in more than just a superficial way. Basically, we dig brainy men and aren't easily willing to dumb down for anyone. Intelligence is always a turn on.

6. Men playing with kids

Strange but true - desi women are often day dreaming about having the perfect marriage and family. For some reason, a man playing with a little child or playing the joker with a little baby is extremely irresistible. This is mostly because this displays the potential of that man being a good father. Lol.

7. Chest hair

Probably repulsive to a majority of the world, we in India would beg to differ. If your man doesn't have chest hair, is he really a man? Look at our desi heroes like Anil Kapoor and Akshay Kumar - why do you think they work so well? It's the chest hair, bro. The ultimate confirmation of manliness.

8. Possessiveness

Another theory that's difficult to comprehend but nevertheless true - a lot of Indian women like their men to be overly protective and possessive over them. Don't get me wrong though, that doesn't mean we're down to tolerate it to an unhealthy extent. As much as we find it attractive, we'd gladly kick some butt if things escalate to an unnecessary amount.

9. Respect

A respectful man is the epitome of attractiveness. Whether it's his manners when he meets your parents for the first time or the way he treats you in front of his friends - his tone, his choice of words and his upbringing needs to reflect respectfulness.

10. Ambition

Ambitious men are always a big YES! A man that is passionate about his line of work, earns well and is responsible is always irresistible. Nobody likes a lazy couch potato with no drive.
