While some couples prefer partying and drinking their way into a new year, others hope for it to be peaceful and quiet. For this, Goa is the numero uno go-to place probably because you don't know where else to go and how to bring in the new year, privately. Worry not, for we are here to help you out! This season, give the crowded and over-rated Goa a break, and consider one of these out of the box places to bring in the new year with calmness, serenity and of course, your significant other!

Nowhere in particular

There's a different kind of excitement when it comes to heading out at night and having no destination in particular. Rent a car and drive away while blasting your favourite songs on high volume!

A gaming arcade

Remember how often you used to visit the gaming arcade when you were a kid? Relive those memories with your partner and go to an all-night gaming arcade. Hold a contest between the two of you and maybe even play some arcade games! The one who gets lesser tickets, has to sacrifice them to get what the other one wants. 

The middle of an empty street

It won't be as easy to find an empty street on this night in particular but head to a quieter area. Walk hand-in-hand beneath the streetlights and talk about the upcoming year together. Your future and your goals too, will become clearer. 

At the peak of your city

Pack some comfortable blankets and warm clothes, drive up to the highest point in your city and set up a small picnic. Bring in the year in the most romantic way possible - in each other's arms, beneath the stars!

Hiking/Camping

What's more romantic than cuddling up beside a bonfire and bringing in the year by roasting marshmallows and sipping on some rum to keep you warm? Spend the day hiking and set up camp at a cosy spot among the hills and bring in the new year with some next-level privacy! 

Pet sit/babysit 

If you don't have any concrete plans, offer to babysit or pet sit for your friends who want to head out for the night. This way you can spend some much-needed time together indoors and play board games with kids, or snuggle up with a pet in front of the tv. 

The balcony

If you have Bollywood running in your veins like we do, you will know that there is nothing more romantic than heading to your balcony with a bottle of champagne and bring in the new year by being together and watching the world go by.
