Love Aaj Kal

This out and out romantic film deals with the frame of minds of modern couples. This beautiful Imtiaz Ali directorial, stars, Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan and Rishi Kapoor. The movie is set in two generations and there’s a regular parallel drawn between both the time period. From mutually deciding to breaking up, throwing a break up party to realising that they are actually in love, Love Aaj Kal is a meandering roller coaster which each of us relates to.

2 States

Based on Chetan Bhagat’s book of the same name, 2 States deals with what modern couples are currently facing; which is marriage outside their own caste. The movie stars Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, a Punjabi and a Tamilian girl who are deeply in love but due to their parents disapproval have to part ways. The movie is light on the heart and is a smooth watch where love eventually wins all odds.
