What is kundalini yoga and what are its benefits? Here is all you need to know

Kundalini yoga is a dynamic and powerful practice that comes to us from the Himalayan tradition. While there are many people interested in the subject of the kundalini, not many are trained in its science. Whether in the capacity of a student or teacher, kundalini yoga requires great dedication and commitment towards its study.

Kundalini deals with the subject of the chakras within the body and related to the body's energy centres. Kundalini yoga imparts the knowledge and the way to achieve harmony between these points known as chakras. When an alignment is achieved between the chakras, it marks the opening or the invocation of the chakras which is a phenomenal tool for transformation. Kundalini yoga truly has the power to change your life.

Kundalini and the Chakra System

Chakras are energy points or energy centres that are located within the human system. According to popular knowledge, there are 7 chakras that deal with a variety of human traits, and behaviour each with its own colour, sound, and vibration. Kundalini yoga states that there are eight chakras adding an extra one to the existing 7. This 8th Chakra is known as the Master Chakra or the Guru Chakra. Kundalini yoga establishes a connection with the energy centres in the body which leads to acquiring innumerable benefits and unimaginable powers.

The Metaphysical Realm

Kundalini yoga deals with the study of metaphysical topics such as parallel universes, alternate realities and more. Along with shedding light on many metaphysical mysteries, kundalini yoga also consists of asanas, pranayama, mudra, and meditation techniques. This practice considers both genders of male and female as equal imparting equal knowledge to both. Kundalini yoga also places great emphasis on the differentiation between Dakshin Bhaag and Vaam Bhag (right and left sides of the body).

Benefits

Kundalini yoga provides immeasurable benefits to the practitioner covering all aspects of the mind, body, and spirit. Considering the deep and mystical nature of science, it gives its practitioner many superhuman and supernatural powers. This includes the power of telepathy, telekinesis, clairvoyance, mind reading and much more.

Kundalini yoga also uncovers parts of subject matters such as neuroplasticity and time dilation. Asanas or postures, mudras, and various other elements within yoga contain influences from nature around us.

Kundalini yoga is knowledge imparted from ancient Himalayan Masters who taught their students how to connect with the energies of nature and derive the power to channel into one's own life. Kundalini contains many secrets connected to nature and the practice of yoga. Some examples would be practising Padmasana or Lotus Pose in the water, and students of Kundalini know the immense benefits of practising Vrikshasana or Tree Pose in a forest.
