Easy ways to prevent getting sick during non seasonal rains
Climate change and non-seasonal rains can take a toll on your health. So, here are some easy ways to prevent getting sick. Check it out
With the rains comes the flu season and that is no denying that! Flu viruses are dominant during seasonal changes and can be easily transferred due to their contagious nature. If you are someone who usually travels to work, you get quite prone to getting these viruses. When other people sneeze or even have a sore throat, their germs get transferred easily especially through train handles and bus seats. So, while you cannot stop travelling (obviously, it’s for work) there are a few easy ways to at least prevent getting the flu.
Stay away from people who are sick
Duh! This is the most basic thing you can do. If you have a friend or sibling who is sick, try to stay at least 3 feet away from them. The flu virus is a parasite that travels through small air pockets in the environment (hence is easily transferred during the rains). So, somebody who has the flu can easily transfer these viruses by contaminating the air you breathe. So the easiest way to prevent getting affected is to stay away from people who already have it.

Keep your hands away from your face
The train handle, bus seat and cab door handles are some of the most contaminated surfaces because of the number of people that touch them. You never know who has touched all these surface and regardless you will have to touch them. While sanitising your hands time and again is the key, one more thing you can do is avoid getting those dirty hands around your face. Your nose and mouth are easy ways for viruses to enter, so prevent getting your dirty hands around them.

Keep your windows closed
Like we already mentioned, flu viruses can easily travel through small air pockets in the environment. So, to prevent them from getting into your home, keep your windows closed unless not needed.
Boost your immunity
Eat right and sleep well. If you have a great immunity system, you will not be prone to getting the flu. Even if you do, your immunity will help you fight through it quicker.

Clean communal surfaces
If you have a sibling or a partner who is sick, try and stay away from them. Also, clean most communal surfaces to make it sterile. Surfaces like the phone charger, door handles and light switches are mostly filled with the infected person’s virus, so make sure to clean them.
