Staying up till late at night can hamper your health and weight loss plans. No matter what you do it somehow manages to cause weight gain. It may be difficult to believe so but it is true.

Our body is meant to function a certain way. Nighttime is when we can get quality sleep and the day time is when we can get our work done. Staying up at night can tire your brain and your body. You feel tired and exhausted throughout the day. This is partially why night owls love coffee. It makes you feel active and helps you run on less sleep but it can also put you on an edge and make you feel jittery and let’s not forget the number calories coffee packs. If you try to skip out on the coffee, you’ll constantly feel sleepy and stay inactive. This means that burning calories will be difficult and slow. Staying up till late makes you crave food. You tend to eat and sleep without letting your body digest the food.

When you stay up till late you lack adequate sleep and this is known to fluctuate the level of hormones in your body which are known to cause weight gain. Lack of sleep also causes stress which again leads to stress eating. Not getting adequate sleep makes you feel tired which in turn increases your calorie intake. You feel the need to get instant energy which junk food provides and you make junk food the source of your energy. Moreover, how can one work out when they’re tired? Being tired makes you lethargic and lazy and you skip out on workouts of any kind which again makes burning the flab and losing the calories difficult. It’s important to set a daily routine and get adequate sleep if you wish to keep your weight loss plans on track.
