Mumbai is located near the Arabian sea and has a beautiful seaside to look at. This city has money, it has dreams and it has immigrants. People from all over the country come to this city to fulfill their dreams and live their destiny. This city is also known as the city of dreams. This city keeps running 24/7, as they rightly say Mumbai never sleeps. It’s buzzing with people and traffic even in the middle of the night. If you are in Mumbai and you want to get the true essence of this city, you need to explore it thoroughly. Here are a few things that allow you to see the beauty of this city and enjoy the little pleasure that it provides.

1. Visit an Irani Café in Mumbai. This city is popular for it’s small Parsi and Irani Cafes. They serve the most authentic meals and are delicious. Stadium Restaurant at Churchgate and Kyani & Co. near Metro Cinema, Marine Lines and Yazdani Restaurant & Bakery at Fort are some of the best places to eat if you want to get a taste of the true authentic Parsi and Irani food.

2. Go Bar hopping. Mumbai is known for its never-ending nightlife. Go bar hopping and have a drink and cover as many bars and clubs as you can.

3. Haji Ali is a beautiful Mosque near Mahalaxmi. You need to walk on a small bridge in the middle of the sea to reach this dargah. It is a beautiful and peaceful place. Go there and pray for something you really want and your wish might just come true.

4. The Bandra-Worli Sea Link is a beautiful bridge that connects Worli and Bandra. You just have to drive through here or take a kali peeli taxi and put your head out of the window and take a good look at it.

5. The Bandra Fort is an old fort. It’s the best place to watch the sunset from. You can get some great picture in this fort. While you are at it, do see the graffiti on the walls in Carter Road, Bandra.

6. Go to Marine Drive for a morning walk or maybe sit there after a crazy night of drinking and just stare at the beautiful waves and look at the queen’s necklace as it is popularly called from Dome, the top floor of Intercontinental Hotel.

7. Spend a little and shop from Chor Baazar and Crawford Market. You can also go to Fashion Street or Colaba Causeway if you want clothes. Hill Road and Linking Road in Bandra are also great places to shop.

8. Take a nice long ride in the local train during the non-rush hours and chomp on a hot vada pav with Mirchi.

9. Go to Mahalaxmi Racecourse. You haven’t experienced the true essence of this city if you haven’t seen this beautiful racing track. Go at a time when you can catch a Derby Race.

10. Ganapati Visarjan is a must if you want to see how Mumbaikars do it! We love Ganapati Visarjan and this is the time when you will hear Ganapati songs and see the actual Ganapati dance and craziness during this festival.
