Tasty ten minute snacks for all the lazy ones out there

There are a lot of easy, filling snacks that can be made at home like pakoras, salads, sandwiches, poha and much more. However, there are those of us who possess no cookery skills, are lazy and also get a lot of hunger pangs.

Now that's a tight situation. Here is a list of delicious and easy snacks you can make, all under ten minutes while using as little equipment and ingredients as possible.

Banana and Nutella Bread

Ingredients: Bananas, Nutella and bread, oil for frying (optional).

All you have to do is apply Nutella on the bread, put sliced banana pieces on it and make a little sandwich.

A better version of this dish is to pour a little oil in a pan, put sliced banana pieces in it and shallow fry the pieces. Once the banana pieces are done, take them out in a plate, pour Nutella over it and eat it with bread.

Chocolate Cream/ Yogurt

Ingredients: Chocolate syrup/ Bournvita or Horlicks powder/ cocoa powder, Fresh Cream/ yoghurt.

Take a little fresh cream or yoghurt in a little bowl and add chocolate syrup/ Bournvita or Horlicks powder/ cocoa powder to it. Mix well and when you take a bite, you will be having a dessert you just wouldn't be able to get enough of.

Pizza Bites

Ingredients: Monaco biscuits, cheese, tomato ketchup, tomato, onion, coriander

Place as many Monaco biscuits as you can in a plate and heat the plate in the oven to make them crispy. Take cheese slices and cut them up into little squares, then place them on the biscuits.

Even if you have a cheese block or any other kind of cheese, grate it and place it on the biscuits. Chop the tomatoes and onions, then place the pieces on the biscuits. Be careful as to not overload the biscuits. Drop a bit of tomato ketchup on the biscuits and then garnish with coriander. Heat it again if you wish to. We now have little bite size biscuits which will taste exactly like pizza upon eating.

Maggi Samosa

Ingredients: Maggi, samosa covering (patti), oil for frying.

Prepare Maggi according to your style and taste. You can add veggies, cheese, mayo and whatever suits you. Take one patti and roll it in the shape of a triangle. Fill the Maggi. Deep fry the samosas. You now have Maggi, just in a different and fancier way.

Potato Fry Bites

Ingredients: Potatoes, turmeric powder, salt, water, gram flour (besan), oil for frying.

This is a snack which is already a hit among most households. Prepare a thick batter by mixing salt, water, gram flour and turmeric powder. Slice potatoes into thin wafer-like pieces. Dip these pieces in the batter and deep fry them. You have crispy, yellow potato bites. To experiment with flavour, add red chilli/ cheese/ peri-peri/ any other powder to the batter. Have it with a dip or sauce of your choice.

Biscuit Sundae

Ingredients: Your favourite biscuits, your favourite ice cream.

All you have to do is take a scoop or two of your favourite ice cream in a bowl and packets of two or more of your favourite biscuits. Crumble the biscuits and put it into the ice cream bowl. The more the biscuits, the crispier and better. Mix the entire thing together well. Add chocolate or any other syrup if you wish to. Your sundae is ready!

Mug Mac and Cheese

Ingredients: Cheese, pasta/macaroni, water

Boil the pasta/macaroni in hot water till they're soft and ready to be used. Get whatever kinds of cheese you can: mozzarella, slices, blocks, spread, etc. Take the pasta in a mug, add salt and grate or pour the cheese whichever way you can. Mix it well and you will have a very basic mac and cheese cup ready!
