The actor, who will be playing the role of Kapil Dev in the film '83, is on a special diet to play the character. His nutritionist spills all the details.

Ranveer Singh's next film '83 which is based on cricketer Kapil Dev's life, has got fans of the actor all riled up. He will be seen opposite his wife Deepika Padukone in the film where she is playing the role of his wife. Since he needs to get in the skin of the cricketer, everything from Ranveer's look to his diet need to be switched up to fit the character. 

Singh's nutritionist Anmol Singhal who has been working with the actor for over 6 years, talked about how Singh has been put on a protein-heavy diet for the role. 

Ranveer is a huge fan of the Indian cuisine so the diet comprises of mostly this food while keeping all the restrictions in mind. 

For his breakfast, Singh starts off with bacon omlette which comprises of rolled oats and eggs which are topped with mixed nuts, berries and jalapenos. Eggs dominate most of his meals, Singhal adds. 

Fish is another food which dominates the actor's meals while everything he consumes, is overlooked by four chefs in London, who will monitor his diet. 

Ranveer also has a sweet tooth and loves Nutella, so his diet has even included that but in a healthier form! "It is an avocado mousse made of dark chocolate chips and avcados," said Singhal who has ensured that the actor's diet consisting of complex carbs not only boosts his energy but also help in cutting out the fat while increasing his muscle mass, to fit the role perfectly and and get the lean and muscular physique required for this role. 

Ranveer also underwent rigorous training in Dehradun and lived with the ace batsman for around 10 days in his Delhi home to get into complete character! Fans are in a frenzy and can't wait to see the actor outdo himself yet again in the film, after getting a sneak peek at his first look.
