I must confess, I am what you would call a "serial dieter", from GM diet to Paleo and a juice cleanse I have tried it all. So, when my Instagram feed was full of transformation pictures and everything, was hash tagged #KetoMagic, It got me curious and I had to know what this Keto diet fad was all about.

The “keto” in a ketogenic diet comes from the fact that it makes the body produce small fuel molecules called “ketones”. This is an alternative fuel for the body, used when blood sugar (glucose) is in short supply.

This is obviously great if you’re trying to lose weight, but there are also other less obvious benefits, like for example less hunger and a steady supply of energy.

Are you fit enough to do the keto? Well ask yourself this: 
1. Am I on medication for diabetes? 
2. Am I on medication for high blood pressure?
