The spooky vibes are in the air and a chilly Halloween Night is just a few days away. This western festival is all about celebrating the dead with scary costumes and haunted parties. While the dead may return to party with us on this night, there are a number of people who love celebrating this night with their friends and family. Most people celebrate Halloween with a movie marathon or a night at a costume party, but then there are those who get into the true Halloween spirit and go all out with a fun-filled spooky night at a haunted location. It's not uncommon to hear horrifying stories about all the chilly spooky places around the city that are known to be haunted. For those of you who live in Mumbai and want to explore the places known for the haunting can head out to some places within the city. There's no need to go beyond the city limits to experience some bone-chilling fright!

Here are some haunted places in Mumbai that you can explore for a true Halloween experience.

1. Mukesh Mills

This place has been used for numerous film and TV serial shoots, but it is said to be haunted and a number of people have experienced it. It is said to be haunted by the spirits of thousands of people who died in this mill after a fire broke out due to which it was shut down.

2. Grand Paradi Towers

This posh society in South Mumbai seems to be one of the most haunted places in the city. A number of people have committed suicide by jumping off the building and even after numerous investigations and pujas it still remains the same way. A number of members of the same family committed suicide in this building.

3. D'Souza Chawl

This chawl in Mahim is said to be haunted by a woman who died a tragic death here. Her spirit roams the streets of this chawl post the sunset.

4. Taj Hotel

This popular hotel is believed to be haunted by the spirit of the chief architect who designed the hotel. He committed suicide because of an error in the construction of the hotel and his spirit, though harmless, haunts a certain section of the hotel.

5. Pawan Hans Quarters

The Pawan Hans Quarters in Juhu are said to be haunted by a woman who set herself on fire years ago. People claim to have seen a girl covered with flames screaming and running down the road in this area. The residents have even built a Hanuman temple in the area out of fear.

6. St. John's Baptist Church

This Church was abandoned years ago due to an epidemic. As the story goes, this Church is haunted by the spirit of a young bride. In fact, it is also said that an exorcism was performed here to ward off the ghost but it was unsuccessful and it still remains haunted.

7. Vrindavan Society

This posh society in Thane is said to be haunted as well. A man was said to have committed suicide by jumping off the building years ago. His spirit haunts the residents now and numerous spooky stories have been doing the rounds and the guards have claimed to have had some creepy experiences as well.
