 As we scroll down various social media platforms, we come across a lot of posts of delectable food. Among these, some of them really catch our eye due to either their attractive presentation or how yummy they look. We picked up some of the food trends which caused a lot of craze on social media and are continuing to be favourites among bloggers. 

Melting Sandwich

There are sandwiches, there are cheesy, greasy sandwiches and then there are melting sandwiches. A dish which has been introduced to a lot of streetside sandwich makers' menu is the extravagant melting sandwich, which basically is a sandwich with loads and loads of cheese oozing out of it. Drooling already? Well, it is worth swooning over.

Stoned Icecream

A new trend coming up in icecreams is the stoned icecream. This is basically the chef putting melted icecream over a freezing metal slab, mixing it with other ingredients and then hitting, spreading and rolling it on the slab to make a flat icecream dough like shape. Once it is perfectly mixed, this layer is cut and rolled up to form icecream rolls. Not only is the icecream making process enjoyable to look at, the resultant icecream is also very tasty and creamy.

Several Layered Cake

We know how delicious creamy cakes are. But a few bakeries and dessert eateries are bringing a new twist to these and making huge cakes with several layers. These places boast of cakes with layers ranging from 7 to 21, ensuring that we never say, "This cake wasn't enough for me!"

Savoury and Sweet Cones

Cones no longer are used only as containers for icecreams. Savoury and sweet cones are taking over which are basically dough cones containing savoury fillings or sweet ones like cream and chocolate. Famous among these are the pizza cones, which basically contain pizza fillings with cheese and herbs on the top. These look extremely appetizing and you won't be satisfied with just one.

Potatoes are appealing in any way and form, period. We know crepes and pancakes. But another trend that the city is consuming is the mini pancakes. Healthy and delicious is the new way to go as a lot of people are becoming vegan and eating only food that is good for their body. They have vegan and gluten-free salads, pizzas, pastas and beverages, all very flavoursome. This is your trend to try out if you're planning to go on a diet.

Mixed Food Bowls/ Box Meals

Another food dish in style is the mixed food bowls. What this primarily is, is that you go to the counter, choose ingredients which will make up your meal box and then consume it all mixed together. Another form of this trend is that a proper box consisting of starters, main course and a dessert is given to you, all prepared. This is highly favoured by office goers or people who work for the majority hours of the day since they can have a wholesome meal packed and ready on the go.

Fries

Ever since MacDonald's came to India, fries have always been a super hit among all kinds of people. However, a lot of new stores have come up which serve only fries. Drinks, especially mojitos and milkshakes have become big. Milkshakes are so famous that they come in glass bottles with a lot of variety in flavours. Waffles

The dessert that took over the food market in late 2016 was the waffle. Earlier, it came like a storm, with high prices and available only at select places, which were always crowded.
