Divyanka Tripathi reveals her secret to weight loss, and we can’t wait to try it ourselves
In a candid chat with us, she spoke about her weight loss transformation, gave out diet tips, and revealed what she eats in a day!
Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya is one of the most celebrated and followed actress in the Indian Television Industry. The Yeh Hai Mohobbatein starlet is loved by her fans who believe she is grounded, honest, and down to earth. While all of those qualities are what set her apart, the actress also recently went through an amazing weight loss transformation that has left everybody gawking at her, now more than ever. We caught up with her for a quick chat and found out all that she eats in one day, that led her to have this fabulous body and shed so many pounds.
Tripathi stars off by revealing that she is not one of those blessed souls who can eat literally anything and get away with it. “I have to really really control my diet, I don’t have a great metabolic rate,” she says pouting! Carbs are one thing she stays away from mainly because she can’t digest them. Rice and sugar are a total no-no, and the actress reveals that “as soon as I have it, I pop,” so much so that when she has rotis, she considers it her cheat day!
When it comes to morning rituals, Tripathi always starts her day with water and tender coconut. She only starts eating her breakfast at 10 – 11 AM! “But I start my day with a glass of green juice since they are not high on sugar,” she says.
And when she does get to breakfast, fruits are her go-to. If not fruits, then she opts for healthy pancakes without oil!
When it comes to the rest of her meals, one would think that with the hectic schedule that she has, she lives off outside food. But the actress broke the myths and revealed that she is a total homebody and gets her “dabbas made”! “A healthy wrap,” was her choice of lunch for the day with stuffing that included paneer and vegetables, since she is a vegetarian.
One of her other snacks, is a basic cutlet without oil, and is also extremely healthy.
In between meals, she drinks soup since it is also sugarfree and filling enough for hectic days.
The actress keeps a box of cheese in hand and takes small bites of it during the day to keep her going.
When it comes to her last meal, the actress wraps up her food by 7.30 PM.
She also answered some quick rapid fire questions, before wrapping up.

Whenever you can – ideally in the morning but with erratic working hours I work out anytime!

It’s not okay to cheat. Never! But if you really want to, maybe once a week or two weeks.

When I’m cheating I should not be around Vivek! He will not let me cheat even on my cheat day!
The healthiest alcoholic drink according to you?
Vodka and water, I’ve been told.
The craziest diet you have ever tried?
I have never tried a diet before, that’s why I wasn’t thin! But now I’m just trying to stay away from carbs as much as possible.

One piece of advice you would like to give?
Try to control your carb intake, if you want to have carbs, have them! But have them in the afternoons since that is the best time to have them. And don’t have fruits in the night since they have sugar in them.
