We all know how harrowing weight loss can be, and when your physical attributes are your fortune, it's even worse! Bollywood celebrities need to be on top of the fitness game at all times and that's obviously no walk in the park. Just like us, they too, need to work hard at achieving their weight goals and struggle to maintain it. However, the perks of being a celeb are that they have the best fitness trainers and expert nutritionists to work with them and come up with customized meal plans for them. Nevertheless, sometimes these stars open up about their diets and that's when we strike gold!

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra has been acing the fashion game lately, and it's hard not to notice that toned, super sexy body! Well, lucky for us, the secret behind her curves aren't really a secret anymore. PeeCee follows a balanced diet plan and eats at an interval of every two hours to stay energized. She has 2 egg whites or sometimes oatmeal and a glass of skimmed milk for her breakfast. Her lunch consists of two rotis, dal, veggies and salad and she has glass of coconut water with handful of nuts every two hours. For her evening snack she eats turkey sandwich or sprout salad, while her dinner consists of soup followed by grilled chicken or fish with some sautéed veggies. Like everyone else, Priyanka too needs a cheat day, and indulges in her favourites - tandoori, cakes and chocolates on the weekend.

Now, Sonam has come a long way and is slaying in both zones. Her diet? She is extremely disciplined and follows a strict, low-carb, high-protein diet with five small meals a day. Sonam avoids unhealthy snacking, opting instead for dry fruits and milkshakes to satisfy hunger pangs. The actress drinks sufficient quantities of fluids like coconut water, buttermilk and cucumber juice to keep herself hydrated.

Sonakshi Sinha

Sonakshi Sinha has been the butt of several jokes and trolls on the internet, owning it all to her weight. Though the actress has always held her own, she is now more focused on fitness and the results are fab! Sonakshi is on a high-protein and low-carb diet that supports her intense workout regimen without adding calories. The curvy lady also drinks about three cups of green tea a day to keep fit. She eats small portions every few hours and drinks plenty of water to keep her body hydrated for good metabolism and radiant skin.

Katrina Kaif

It ain't easy to look like a million dollars even in candids unless you're Katrina Kaif! Kat has a bod to die for and even her contemporaries have admitted the same! But what it takes to look like that isn't as simple. The actress makes sure she drinks three glasses of water as soon as she wakes up in the morning to drain toxins from her body. She eats a high protein, high fibre diet, and keeps hydrated with eight glasses of water a day, with intervals of fresh fruit juices to boost her metabolism. 

Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt knows that the struggle is real! The once chubby teen, is now a bombshell and she lives to tell the tale. Alia’s breakfast consists of a bowl of poha or vegetables. She has fruit and idli with sambar for her mid-morning snacks. For lunch she has a bowl of dal with roti and some vegetables without butter. Like her morning snack, she eats an idli with sambar in the evening too, followed by tea or coffee without sugar. She eats rotis for her dinner with vegetables or rice with a bowl of dal and a piece of chicken breast.

Deepika Padukone

Everyone wants a body like Deepika Padukone and now, that's actually possible. However, it's going to take a lot of hard work and persistence, but we promise you, the end results will be worth it. DeePee doesn’t starve herself and is a big foodie. She eats small meals at a regular interval of 2 hours. For Breakfast she has 2 egg whites and low-fat milk, her lunch consists of grilled fish and lots of veggies, for snacks she prefers almonds and filtered coffee (she is fond of south Indian food!) and lastly, for dinner, she keeps it light with a salad, roti and veggies.

Kareena Kapoor Khan 

Kareena Kapoor Khan has been all shapes and sizes and we've loved her in every avatar. Being a 'khate peete ghar ki' Punjabi girl, Kareena loves her paranthas and biryanis and believes that one should eat everything but in moderation. She loves food & does not believe in going without food for days in order to lose weight. In fact, she even includes sugars & ghee in her diet but in controlled amounts. She eats everything but in a balanced way & she also emphasizes on the significance of a good night’s sleep. She eats small meals after every 2-3 hours and drinks at least 6-8 glasses of boiled water every day.

Hrithik Roshan 

Hrithik Roshan is a Greek God when it comes to looks and that physique is drool worthy! In one of his interviews, Hrithik shared that he incorporated a lot of cross fit and weight training in his regime. He also spoke about a 12-week transformation he underwent with professional body builder and trainer Kris Gethin, which brought him into the fittest of shape. His diet mainly consisted of 100 grams of meat and some fibrous carbs like broccoli, sprouts and spinach, a cup of rice or pasta. Later he was allowed to add protein powder and eggs to his diet. After training with Kris, Hrithik lost about 10 kilos in 10 weeks! 

Nargis Fakhri

Nargis Fakhri undoubtedly has one of the fittest bodies in B-Town and now we know how! In an interview with a popular portal, Nargis spilled the beans and shared a few secret tips and tricks. “Move your butt, walk 10,000 steps, drink 2-3 liters of water every day and eat more veggies. It's that simple,” recommends Nargis. Her fitness mantra is to have lot of fun while working out. So if you find the gym boring, try Zumba, dance or any sport. Her ‘juice cleanse diet’ too, became very popular. She followed a six-day juice diet and is known to have lost six kilos! The stunner often tweets health tips on Twitter for her friends and fans.

Maliika Sherawat

The sultry Mallika Sherawat might not have the perfect Bollywood career in place, but she sure knows how to maintain those dangerous curves! "I am vegan, which means no dairy, no eggs, no chicken, no meat but lots of fruits, vegetables and green juices,” Mallika revealed to a news channel. The actress who is renowned for her voluptuous bod has been a religious follower of kickboxing. This helps her tone the lower part of the body.

Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar is a guru when it comes to fitness. The man only gets hotter with age and all we can do is gawk at him, helplessly. According to Akshay staying fit the natural way is the best. He is fond of outdoor activities like functional training or martial arts. According to him, fitness is not about having a bulky body with biceps or abs. It is more important to eat right and exercise regularly.  He follows a strict routine, doesn’t drink or party and suggests that your last meal of the day should be around 6:30-7pm (before sunset) as your body needs at least three to four hours to digest the food before you hit the bed.

Bipasha Basu

Bong bombshell Bipasha Basu has always been passionate about health and fitness and that reflects on her physical appearance. Bips revealed in an interview that she’s given up on red meat, rice and junk food. Leafy green veggies, chicken, dal, fish, nuts, seeds, yoghurts and sprouts are staples in her diet. She advises that with such a routine it is essential to keep your body well hydrated and to load up on water and fresh juices.

Pari is now on a strict diet, having one glass of milk, brown bread with butter, two eggs- white portion only and juice for breakfast, dl and roti, brown rice, green salad and green leafy vegetables for lunch and simple food with less oil, one glass of milk and sometimes a chocolate shake.

His secret to a successful diet is to have a meal every three hours. He strictly follows timely eating and never misses meals. Ranveer's diet consists of high protein and low carb foods like chicken, turkey, veggies, tuna etc. His breakfast consists of egg whites, bread and banana. For the snacks between meals, he eats dried fruits like almonds or has protein shakes. Both his lunch and dinner also is filled with protein rich dishes like fish or chicken. According to him, in order to get a good muscular body, one has to supplement his diet with protein shakes since it repairs the muscle tissues faster. He also suggest on having low salt and low oil based food in order to gain a healthy body.
