BEST hot chocolate recipes to make the gloomy monsoon weather better
Monsoons make everything dark and gloomy. Not to forget the flu it brings along. While you are here waiting for the gloomy weather to pass by, here are 4 hot chocolate recipes to keep you warm this season.
The pace of life becomes slower when the monsoons hit and there’s no denying that. The gloomy weather makes you want to stay tucked in bed all day long. Moreover, humid weather makes it more difficult to step out of the house et alone, be productive. Let us not forget the flu that it brings along. Nothing beats the gloominess that a warm, hot beverage.

So, while we are tucked in our favourite blankets (or for the unlucky ones who are at the office), here are a few easy hot chocolate recipes that will instantly make the gloomy weather bearable.
1: Hot Chocolate with shredded dark chocolate:

Let’s start with the easy one. All you need is:
1 1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
175gm chocolate (chopped)
All you need to do is to simmer all the ingredients in a saucepan. Whisk the mixture for about eight minutes until the chocolate melts. Make sure that it does not boil and stick to the base. Pour it in a cup and top it off with some shredded dark chocolate and there you have a solution for all the gloominess.
2: Hot Chocolate with Cinnamon:

All you need:
4 cups whole milk (with fat)
1/4 cup dark cocoa powder
1 stick of whole cinnamon
1 stick of vanilla bean
1tbsp honey
1/8 cup brown sugar
Mix all the ingredients except the honey in a saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil and strain it into a cup using a cheesecloth. Add one tablespoon of honey in the hot chocolate and add marshmallows on top and let it melt. Sip it alongside a windowpane for maximum satisfaction!
3: Mocha Cocoa:

For this you will need:
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup espresso powder i.e coffee powder
1/2 cup powdered milk or 2 cups of whole milk
1/4 cup chocolate chips
Mix all the ingredients in a saucepan and simmer it for 8-10 minutes. Make sure that it does not boil and stick to the base. Pour it in a jar and enjoy it along with some vanilla marshmallow. This is a good recipe when you have a busy day ahead of you. You can also store the drink in a jar and reheat whenever required.
4: Classic Cocoa with Baileys:

1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup powdered milk
1/3 cup chocolate chips
1/3 cup miniature marshmallows
Baileys ( as much required)
Since this is a recipe that requires milk powder, all you need to do is to add 1 cup of hot steaming water to the mixture. It is the best way to enjoy a cup of chocolaty sweetness on a busy day. I mean, it has Bailey, what else do you need?
