Love wine? Here’s your excuse to drink it all weekend long! May 25th is celebrated as Drink Wine day and here are some kickass wine based cocktails to churn up and get into the weekend mood.
Wine is the alcoholic drink created from fermented grapes. One of the sweetest alcoholic drinks has a reputation for being classy and served at high-profile events. The trend died down when the drink started being made cheaper and is now consumed irrespective of any occasion.
Well, this weekend, you don’t need a reason to consume wine, for May 25th, is celebrated as Drink Wine Day! And for those who aren’t too fond of the drink, here are some fun wine-infused cocktail recipes from some of the best bartenders around the country, to give make your weekend an ultra-boozy one!
Red Splash: Shaher Misif, Mixologist
This red cocktail will leave you refreshed since it contains cool and hydrating fruits that will leave you feeling cool for the summer!
Ingredients:
Tequila – 20 ml
Lime juice – 10 ml
Grapefruit juice – 10 ml
Red wine – 30 ml
Method:
Put all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker and add ice. Shake this well and then strain before pouring it into a glass. Garnish with a wedge of lime.
Rose Melon Sangria: Albert – Bartender (Shiro)

This cocktail is sure to cool you during the summer with infusions of rose and chilled watermelon that will leave you hydrated.
Ingredients:
Rose sparkling wine - 20 ml
Blush wine - 120 ml
Brandy - 10 ml
Triple sec syrup - 20 ml
Sugar syrup - 10 ml
Method:
Add all the ingredients into a large container and mix well until the concoction is formed. Add ice cubes or keep in the refrigerator for a while to let it chill and then serve.
Grape Wine Gone Wild: Daniel - Bartender
With the essence of grapes and lemons, this cocktail is sure to soothe your senses with the mix of sweetness and tanginess!
Ingredients:
Vodka – 30 ml
Lemon juice – 20 ml
Sugar syrup – 10 ml
Sparkline wine – 30 ml
Method:
Combine all the ingredients except for the sparkline wine, in a cocktail shaker and shake well. Once done, strain and pour into a wine glass. Top it off with sparkling wine.
Cranberry Infused Green Tea Sangria: Sean Silveria - Bartender (BKC Dive)

This cocktail is sure to tingle your tongue with the flavour of cranberries and sangria and soothe your system at the same time with the green tea.
Ingredients:
30ml Cranberry Infused Tea
120ml Red Wine
10ml Vodka
30ml Apple Juice (Chilled)
30ml Orange Juice (Chilled)
5ml Lemon Juice
Fresh Fruits
A Slice of Orange Malta
Few chopped pieces of Apple
Few pomegranate seeds
1-2 Black and Green Grapes
Method:
Add all the ingredients except the fresh fruits to a Wine Goblet glass and stir well. Add the fresh fruits as mentioned in the ingredients to the drink. Stir again, add serve chilled.
