Imagine sippin' on your favourite cocktails in your favourite dress, at a bar that has the most breath taking view. Does the thought of this excite you? Well, you've landed on the right page.

Today, we did some digging and selected 8 unique bars around the world, that are definitely worth your time and money.

Now what makes a bar perfect? The bartenders, the music, the ambiance, the venue and of course, the overall vibe it has. Well, these places have topped the list and have a check mark against all of the above and more. While we understand that not everyone can book a ticket and take off to another country just to visit a bar, we urge you to take note of these spectacular places, and definitely make a trip there, in case you happen to be passing through. For the rest of you (all the adventurers and bar enthusiasts), pack your bags, it's going to be a blast!

1. Northern Lights Bar, Iceland

Located in the Ion Hotel, just an hour outside of Reykjavík, the Nothern Lights Bar is literally in the middle of nowhere and that's what makes it so cool.  It’s the ideal spot to view the Northern Lights, while enjoying your whisky on the rocks.

2. Cova D’en Xoroi in Menorca, Spain

A series of carved caves on the south of the Spanish island, Cova D'en Xoroi in Menorca makes it to most lists of the worlds best bars and it's well justified. Terraces perched above clear water, it's a great place to enjoy a sun downer. In fact, 'sunset sessions' is the places' specialty, given it's magnificent view. Also, the party picks up once the sun sets, so don't leave before you indulge in some hardcore partying.

3. Cloud 9 in the Fiji Islands

Fiji Island's only two level floating platform, Cloud 9 is paradise on Earth for those who love to chill by the sea. With an internationally stocked bar and an Italian wood-fired pizzeria surrounded by the bluest water and picturesque views, we'd definitely call this one a true winner! What's even better? The place has a 'cutting edge music policy' and surround sound system throughout. Sun decks, hanging chairs and day beds are in abundance, for you to enjoy a lazy (drunk) day by the sea.

4. Artesian, London

Artesian in London is no stranger to the prestigious lists of the world's finest bars to visit. Located in the Langham Hotel, the drinks come with quite a fabulous presentation and that's exactly what sets it apart. The cocktails are sure to burn a hole in your pocket, but we can assure you that they're worth the price! The bar is a perfect example of the sophisticated London bar scene and showcases the city’s largest collection of rums. It also boasts of an endless Champagne list and scrumptious food to go with your drinks! If you happen to visit, don't forget to try the Camouflage, which is served in a giant, golden pineapple glass topped with smoking potpourri. Fancy, ha?

5. The Ice Bar, Quebec City, Canada

As the name implies, The Ice bar is literally made up of ice! Each summer, this ice-sculpted bar melts and is completely rebuilt every single year. Isn't that crazy? However, you can chill (quite literally) at this unique spot from January to March. While all the alcohol is sure to create a little warmth in your belly, don't forget to carry a nice, thick coat!

6. Hotel Edelweiss, Mürren, Switzerland

6300 feet above the ground, surrounded by a mighty and magnificent mountain panorama on every side, formed by 21 peaks in the heart of the great Alps - now that's what I call the perfect place to sit and sip on a beer, like a boss!

7. Alux Caverna Lounge, Mexico

This lounge is an actual hole in the ground. One of the coolest things you'll ever see, this place serves a fusion cuisine that will give you a good taste of the local flavor , while you can admire the natural landscape all around. Just imagine - The 18,000 year old geological formation being the backdrop for your drinks and dinner! Well, it's the largest cave bar in the world and a must for every tourist who looks for something completely out of the box. Just don't get too drunk, cause there are good chances of you losing your way around.

8. Moon Bar at Banyan Tree, Bangkok, Thailand

It's not secret that Thailand is home to some of the worlds best sky bars, but there's really nothing that comes even close to Moon Bar at the Banyan Tree. This gravity-defying restaurant and bar is a whopping 61 stories tall, making you feel like your in heaven! A few drinks down, and we're sure you'll begin to feel like your seated in a helicopter that's hovering over the beautiful city giving you a million dollar view.
