Style tips: Here's how you can add a pop of colour to your winter wardrobe by using the trendy pastel palette

Just because winter is here does not mean that you cannot wear your favourite pastels. Most people usually avoid wearing pastel colours during winters and pick dark and bright shades like black and blue and red instead of all those beautiful baby blues and pinks and mint shades. We all pick pastel shades for summers instead of winters but that's not really how it should be. There's nothing wrong with lightening it up and going all bubbly with pastel shades during winters. Winters should not have to be dull and boring. Styling pastel colours in winters can be a huge hassle but you've got nothing to worry about because styling pastels is a cakewalk. There's no need to get tricked into wearing dark shades because styling pastels is so difficult because it's not. You can always add a pop of fun and colours to your look with some pastel shades and let's not forget that weathers don't come with colour rules so, why hold back?

Here are some tips to style pastel shades during winters

1. Don't mix too many pastel shades. Pick only one shade and go single-tone with your pastel look. You cannot wear a peach sweater with white pants during winters because that's just too much pastel in one place. You can go with a single tone pastel and wear a white sweater with white pants or pick any single shade of pastel.

2. Mix your pastels with neutral or dark shades. A little touch of a dark shade can enhance your pastel shades and make it look better. Too much pastel is not good either. If you're wearing a pink dress, wear a blue or a black trench coat or jacket over it.

3. Add a touch of pastel on top of your dark and bold shades. You can always wear a pastel coloured jacket with darker shades of clothes underneath. Pick a mint or a baby blue overcoat or trench coat to wear with your navy blue dress or all-black look.

4. You can add a pop of pastel love to your looks with a pastel accessory like a pastel coloured bag or a pastel coloured footwear. This adds a pop of colour to your look and enhances it.

5. You can also play a little more with pastel by picking 2 shades of pastel to go with a neutral or dark shade. This works best with monochrome looks. You can play with black and white. Wear black pants with a white top and mix it with a peach or a blush coloured jacket or overcoat.
