Vogue Wedding Show 2018, a three-day lavish wedding exhibition, showcased the finest, latest and most exclusive services in the bridal world at Taj Palace, Delhi from 3rd - 5th August.

Falguni and Shane Peacock are Indian Fashion’s power couple. From dressing our desi celebrities like Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, to name a few; the designers have also dressed up International Celebrities like Lady Gaga and Beyonce.

This season, the talented designer duo broke their own design records with iconic looks! Staying true to their signature style of feathers and glittery ensemble, this year’s collection they took it further with bold metallic hues.

How is Falguni’s bride going to be this season?

She’s going to be glamorous, stunning, beautiful. She will experiment a lot and she will be an international bride.

 

What is the most striking feature apart from the wedding lehenga that catches your attention?

In the bride, I think the jewellery.

 

Who’s been your most special bride till date?

So we had a bride last year for the Vogue Wedding Show and she told me “Falguni, this is my set, you make me the most amazing gown, I don’t care what colour you do”, so the liberty I had with her, she was the most, you know, she trusted us with it and it was the most amazing experience creating the gown for her.

 

And, you recently had Kareena Kapoor Khan as a showstopper, how was it working with her?

Amazing! She’s lovely, the lehenga was not 30 kilos it was only 15 kilos. She enjoyed walking in it and the way she strutted with all the weight on her; she looked effortless!

 

Oh, she looked beautiful! So was it decided beforehand that she’s going to be the show-stopper, or you made the dress first and then you thought okay Kareena will..?

No, I had decided that it’s going to be Kareena, before even speaking to her, but yeah we decided we wanted to go gold this time, gold is the colour and I think it just looks so glamorous with her skin type, it looked beautiful.

 

What is the perfect attire for a runaway bride, if the bride is so adventurous that she wants to just elope so what should be her last minute must have essentials?

You know, we have applique lehengas, which are in chrome foil and they are absolutely light and she can run in her stilettos in it, and she can sleep the whole night in it, she can wake up and do whatever she wants to, it’s so light.

 

Colours that a bride should blindly go for if she’s in a state of confusion?

I think nudes, like a mauve, mauve looks good, I think people are averse to it but it looks beautiful on wearing.

 

How are millennial brides different from the brides 10-20 years back?

Millennial brides are very different they do their own shopping, nowadays they decide what they want to wear, and they decide to spend their own money, they don’t wait for their mom and dad to do that for them.

 

Since destination weddings are so in, what should guests pack so that there is no excess baggage at the airport?

I think its always going to be excess, and I say that a wedding is once in a while so there’s no harm going excess, I travel normally and I’m with excess so I can’t comment on this!

 

Who’s the one Bollywood actress whom you’d love to dress up on her big day?

Priyanka, and Deepika!
