Padmaavat Screening - Deepika Padukone repeats her outfit as she steps out twinning with beau Ranveer Singh
Deepika Padukone has never shied away from repeating her outfits. The actress recently stepped out for Padmavat screening wearing Anamika Khanna which she had previously worn during Chennai Express’s promotional gigs.
Padmaavat has not only been in news but has become a mega news in itself. The magnum opus has caught itself in the midst of a blaring controversy where a section of the Rajput community has seemed to be offended by the whole portrayal of Rani Padmavati (without seeing the movie) leading and forcing the makers to change the film’s name to Padmaavat. After much hoop-la and tug-of-war, Padmavat is all set to release on January 25, 2018, and the leading cast has finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Last night at the special screening of Padmaavat, Deepika stepped out with boyfriend Ranveer Singh twinning in white and well, hand-in-hand, displaying their affection for each other. However what caught our eye was Ms. Padukone’s outfit. The Padmaavat actress wore a white and silver floor-length semi-sheer Anarkali with high-waisted palazzos and dupatta of the same look and feel binding the entire look together. Hair tied in a messy low bun with statement heavy jhumkas finished her look. The interesting bit is that our stunner had already donned this particular outfit during the promotions of Chennai Express co-starring Shah Rukh Khan, it is the very same outfit that led to whole infamous “cleavage controversy” where a leading newspaper carried out an article about her flaunting her cleavage even off-camera. The news, in particular, didn't go down well with the actress who took to Twitter to lash the daily. She tweeted, “YES! I am a woman. I have breasts AND a cleavage! You got a problem!!??”. Social media, fellow industry members, journalists and the common public came out in full support of the actress.
Leela was accompanied at the screening with her Ram, Ranveer Singh, who donned a white chikankari kurta and pyjama from Herringbone & Sui. He is back with his lean physique, short hair and on point beard. The couple walked hand-in-hand and looked dreamy as ever.
Deepika Padukone is one of the most relatable artists and this majorly lies in the way she conducts herself. She has always let confidence be her constant asset and has boldly repeated her outfits, we love how she is breaking stereotypes and is also not shying away from putting forth that although a celebrity, she is just like one of us. #Queen
