Indian fashion designers, Rahul Mishra and Manish Arora meet French president Emmanuel Macron during PFW

February may be the month of Love for many, but for fashionistas, it is the month of fashion weeks. Starting from New York Fashion Week that took place from 8 Feb 2018 – 16 Feb 2018 onto London Fashion Week 2018 that was held from 16 Feb 2018 – 20 Feb 2018 then Milan Fashion Week 2018 that took place from 21 Feb 2018 – 27 Feb 2018, up until the recently concluded Paris Fashion Week 2018 that was held from 27 Feb 2018 – 6 Mar 2018. These glorious runways saw the biggest designers display their Fall-Winter 2018 collection on the hottest models. 

During Paris Fashion Week, the French president Emmanuel Macron along with his wife hosted a fashion galore at Palais de l’Élysée (official residence of the French president).  The guests included Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior’s artistic director, creative director of Balmain, Olivier Rousteing, iconic French fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier, young fashion wizard Simon Porte Jacquemus, Italian designer Giambattista Valli and Schiaparelli’s design director, Bertrand Guyon.

Amongst Indian designers, Rahul Mishra and Manish Arora were in attendance too. Both Rahul and Manish showcased at the Paris Fashion Week as well. In conversation with a popular news portal, Rahul said- “He was very kind and even asked me if I would like to join him during his trip to India. He referred to me as his ‘friend from India,’ I am just so honored, on cloud nine!” 

Manish Arora too took to Instagram and shard a picture from the event. He captioned the picture- "Dinner with the French president Mr macron thank you for acknowledging Indian fashion"

 
Macron is scheduled to visit India, starting March 9.
