Deepika Padukone in 2017 - A year of disastrous fashion choices

Deepika Padukone since her debut has been widely appreciated for her fashion choices. Be it her traditional or western outfits, Deepika has never shied away from experimenting. The talented actress, however, has had a pretty bad run when it came to her fashion and style this year. Be it her hair and makeup, outfit picks or the overall appeal, her fashion choices just don’t see to be working in her favour. 

Listed below are the times throughout 2017 when Deepika disappointed us with picks.

Deepika Padukone in Anamika Khanna 

This look has to be our least favourite as the outfit is wrong on so many levels. The silhouette of the outfit looks extremely confusing and uncomfortable. The kamarbandh could have easily been avoided as there is already a lot happening on the garment in terms of the surface ornamentation and those doctor sleeves, well, the lesser spoken about it, the better.

Deepika Padukone in Sailesh Singhania

This entire look just ages Deepika two folds. The saree is in a rich bottle green colour but the motifs, the borders, isn’t really an ideal pick for a young 30-year-old. The blouse is completely off from the saree and the sleeves look really awkward, while we understand that she loves her jewellery, but here she could have gone easy with her accessories as her outfit is already so heavy on the eyes.

We like everything that she is wearing but as individual pieces and all of them put together make for a very unappealing combination. In spite of the one shoulder bouffant sleeve top, the high waisted pants and the broad corset belt raging the fashion scenes, this one, however, is a complete drab and the silver pointy-toe stilettos are a big NO. 

Deepika Padukone in Monisha Jaising

We have no idea what was going on in Deepika’s mind when she agreed to wear this outfit. She wore a metallic bottle green flared pantsuit. The outfit made Deepika look older than her age and the colour is too bright for the eyes. Her sleek hair is becoming extremely repetitive and those danglers just don’t go well with the whole look.

We agree that pink and red is a killer combination but an excess of anything is bad. Deepika donned a bell sleeves red asymmetric velvet dress from Zara which she teamed up with a pair of flared hot pink pants. The different textures of the dress and pants along with it the unflattering combination makes for a very poor combination.

While we do agree that airport looks are a thing and that our stars should experiment, we are not quite sure of this pick. Those pants look completely off when put together with that two-toned shirt. Those sliders and cat-eyed glasses only added to the fashion blunder.

Deepika has left us quite confused with her entire look. It’s confusing, distracting and also a big mess. The multicoloured bodycon midi dress with mesh detailing on it with those weird peep toes only makes us wish that she had never chosen to wear this outfit.

Deepika Padukone in Duroo Lowu

This has to be our least on this list. Deepika Padukone wears a multicoloured bishop sleeves satin dress A-line dress. Those lace-up sandals and brushed down beach wavy hair only added up to the entire downfall of the entire look.

Deepika Padukone is the epitome of grace and can pull off any outfit with elan but we think that she should definitely be rethinking about the choices of the outfits that she has been wearing as it is heavily pulling her down. What do you think?
