Yay or Nay : Deepika Padukone in Monisha Jaising
The 2015 edition of the HT Most Stylish Awards were held in Mumbai earlier tonight. And it was raining stars!
Deepika, who won 'Woman of Substance' award, took to the red carpet in a white Monisha Jaising gown. Her simple cut out detail gown was styled with a high top bun, a red pout and diamond earrings.
For me, white gowns are the toughest to pull off cos you always have that fear of it being too bridal. But thanks to the edgy cut outs, she dodged that bullet. Also, can we agree that those cut outs are so hard to pull off without looking tacky. But to Deepika's credit, she wore it with such elegance and sophistication.
I really would have liked to see a clutch added to the look just to add an element to catch our eyes, but the look as is is perfection too.
