Here’s how you can TOTALLY nail the 'I woke up like this' natural looking makeup like our celebrities
Existential beauty crisis aside, the off-duty model, no makeup vibes are here to stay. Now that summer season is here, this is the perfect makeup trend to embrace this season. Read on to find out more about this super glory beauty look.
A complete, foolproof, barely there makeup look has been sported by countless celebrities in recent times. The very natural and born-with-it, no-makeup look is a little tricky to achieve. There are plenty of tones present in the skin. You have to carefully choose and mix concealers to accommodate this. “No makeup” makeup is basically the bare minimum one, which focuses more on the steps of application than the number of products.
We have broken down the BEST tricks and tips to nail this beauty trend quick and easy.
Skin first
This super crazy trend is all about glowing natural skin. Well, not every one of us has that heavenly glow like Deepika Padukone or Jennifer Aniston, but we sure know how to fake it! So before taking upon nailing this trend, prep your skin well. Use a gentle hydrating face wash before applying makeup to make sure that the skin is properly prepped, supple and moisturised. Don't use an exfoliant as it will bring out the redness in your complexion.

Moisturise and prime
Apply a pea-size moisturiser all over your face. You want to make sure that your skin is super hydrated and soft so your makeup sits right but isn't greasy. When you're going in for a very light look, using a primer is a great way to get a smooth base. You can cater your product choices to what kind of look you’re going for or your skin type. An illuminating primer will add that “lit from within” glow and make you look extra hydrated.

Foundation
It is extremely important to go light on the coverage, so steer clear of full-coverage, thick foundations. Tinted moisturisers, BB cream or CC cream is a good option as it will give the skin some extra hydration and still allow your imperfections to shine through. Carry out the application with a buffing foundation brush to cover more or even a beauty sponge if you like to keep the dewiness.

Concealer
Use a lightweight, hydrating concealer to gently mask your dark circles and blemishes. Blend the product in with your fingers as the warmth of your skin makes the product melt right in.

Set it in
Creams make everything just blend and sink right in, and it tends to look more natural than powders. After applying the foundation and concealer, gently blend a cream bronzer with a damp sponge. Now, if you’re worried about everything lasting all day or keep all the glowy goodness by locking in with a setting spray.

Adding some dewiness
Adding a bit of dewiness to the highpoint of your cheekbones can make your face look natural but still glowy. But opt for a clear and cream-based highlighter or balm than a traditional shimmery highlighter. The texture of the product will blend right in with other cream-based products.

Naturally flushed
Fake the flush girls! Meghan Markle pulls off the naturally blushed look like a boss and it adds a gorgeous unpolished flow to your entire face. Just add a little bit of cream blush to the apples of the cheeks, up onto the temples and right on the bridge of the nose.

Brush up the brows
Heavy eyebrows are one of the biggest giveaways of this look if done wrong. The main part of this look is to leave your brows completely bushy and 100% natural. So just brush them with brow gel to set them in place.

Lashes
As the skin is the ultimate star of this look, you can either go light on the lashes or just skip it. Apply a dark brown mascara or even a clear mascara which will just give that perfect curl to your lashes.

Lips
The easiest way to get a natural looking lip colour is by exfoliating it. Get rid off the dead cells and push the blood-flow. Follow it up with a light tinted lip balm. Dab it with your fingertips as it will push the product in and hold it in place.
