Hair is something that is very dear to every girl. Long, short, wavy or curly, we all take utmost care of our hair and love to try out new ways to take care of it. While doing so, we often hear some small tips and ways to protect the hair. While they have been heard from generation, we often forget that there is no scientific backing behind it. They are just myths that have been blindly followed for years together. So today, we are here to bust all these myths and make you believe the real scientific reason behind it.
1. Cutting the hair makes it grow faster:
There is no such thing and we are unsure why people even believed it. There is no connection of your hair growth the ends of your hair. Trimming often does nothing for hair growth. Hair growth happens on the scalp and your trimmed ends will only give you the illusion of fuller, voluminous hair.

2. Plucking grey hair will make two grow back in its place:
This one just sounds impossible. Only one hair strand grows from one hair follicle so the question of two hair growing is just insane. If you tend to grow grey hair, you will get a head full of them no matter what. Plucking or no plucking, you will get grey hair if you are meant to get them.

3. Brushing hair makes your mane healthy
There is literally no value in brushing your hair than you already do. Over-brushing can damage the cuticle of your hair making it rough and dry. Also, if you tend to get knots easily, pulling on them can loosen the hair follicle making it prone to hair fall and reduced hair growth.

4. Coloured hair is unhealthy:
While bleaching is one of the worst things you can do to your hair, not all colour treatments prove to be unhealthy. It is okay to colour the hair as adding colour can make your hair strand look thicker. You can do s only if you are going darker with your colour and not light.

5. Blow drying is bad and air drying is good:
While there is no debate here and you should spare your hair from the hot blast once in a while. But, what if we tell you that air-drying is all the worse? Many types of researches say that the interior of the hair swells up when it is exposed to water for longer periods of time. This possibly creates more damage than heat styling. You can create less damage to the hair by blow-drying it on low heat setting than actually air drying it.
