Mukesh and Nita Ambani’s son Akash Ambani got engaged to long-time girlfriend Shloka Mehta on June 28, 2018. Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta studied together in Dhirubhai Ambani International School and the Mehtas and Ambanis have been friends for decades.
On June 30, 2018 the Ambani family hosted an engagement party that was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan. B-Town stars Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and others were a part of the flash mob at the party. They danced to ‘Gal Mitthi Mitthi’ along with the Ambani family. The who’s who of Bollywood attended the engagement party of Akash and Shloka.
In a video from the bash, Shah Rukh Khan is seen pulling Anant Ambani’s leg as he quizzes him about his rumored girlfriend Radhika Merchant. There were reports a few months ago that Anant and Radhika Merchant got engaged. However, Reliance Industries spokesperson told Business Today, “Anant Ambani is not engaged yet.”
Anant and Radhika have been spotted together at various Ambani events. Radhika also came to offer prayers at Siddhivinayak temple with the Ambani family recently.
Shah Rukh Khan can be seen asking Anant about his girlfriend. He says that he can find out who he is dating by checking his phone. He teases Anant Ambani by mentioning Radhika’s name. Check out the video here:
Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta will tie the knot in December this year. It will be a four-five day affair at a hotel in Mumbai.
