When Salman almost didn’t like the title #PremRatanDhanPayo!
Salman Khan is joining forces with Sooraj Barjatya after 14 years and the film which was conceived 23 years back is finally going to hit the screens this Diwali.
In the video, Salman talks about the film’s title and how he thinks it is unique and fits perfectly. But toward the end of the message, Sooraj reveals, “I went to him (Salman) with this title. So he said what are you trying to call it. I said, ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’. He looked at me and said, ‘If it would have been any other director would have come, I would have thrown him out. But if you want, you can keep it’.
“Since we are dealing with Prem and love and families, I think Sooraj saw that Prem Ratan Dhan Payo would be the most appropriate title for a Sooraj Barjatya film with me after 14 years,” said Salman.
Prem’s leading lady in the film, Sonam Kapoor said, “Lot of people have a lot of reservations about the title, I thought it was a very beautiful title.”
Salman approved the title “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” just for Sooraj Barjatya. Also it took Salman some 90 odd days to get the title right!
