VIDEO: A grim Kang Daniel perfectly embodies 'anxiety' and 'fear' in gripping new Paranoia MV teaser

Kang Daniel is all set for his big comeback! The idol-entrepreneur who released his mini-album Magenta in August 2020, is all set to release his first full-length album after six months. A couple of days back, it was revealed that the comeback music video will be titled Paranoia. Now, Kang Daniel dropped the second teaser for Paranoia, via his agency KONNECT ENTERTAINMENT, on February 10. 

The teaser opens with Kang Daniel making his way through incoming people. He has covered himself in a black hoodie and registers a tense and scared expression on his face. The next shot we see, a giant red flower-like structure and the music blaring loudly. We see a red-eyed Kang Daniel, covering his face and walking by as stage lights shine upon him. He is found sitting under a table with his head buried in his knees. He looks up, scared and then looks around, signs of fear and paranoia clear on his face. In the next couple of sequences, we see swift shots of him in black and white, struggling. The teaser ends with him showing signs of struggle underwater. The short snippet conveys the themes of anxiety and fear coupled with action-packed sequences and sleek choreography.

In a recent interview with 1st Look Magazine, Kang Daniel revealed his desire to be taken as a serious artist and the fact that he has poured his personal emotions and struggles in his new album. Kang Daniel has written the lyrics for this striking new song himself. Paranoia releases on February 16 at 6 pm KST.
