Twitter reacts as England beats New Zealand to claim their 1st World Cup title in super over game of the final

England cricket team creates history at Lord’s for winning their first ever World Cup trophy in the final against New Zealand. The final that was filled with excitement and thriller, went on to a super over where England batted first and smashed 15 runs on board. However, New Zealand, who witnessed a first ball wide failed to chase the target and smashed 15 runs as well.

This tie in the super over, led Eoin Morgan led England cricket team claim the title on the basis of more boundaries in the match. This encounter between New Zealand and England started when Kane Williamson won the toss and elected to bat first. The Black Caps scored 241/8 runs on board at the end of 50 overs and it was opener, Henry Nicholls who was the highest run getter for the side and smashed a brilliant half century. However, England’s Ben Stokes smashed a brilliant unbeaten 84 and helped the team tie the match against the Kiwis.

The match was then carried on to a super over which was again tied and England won the clash on the basis of more boundaries.
