A couple of shows debuted on Saturday. Suzy led Start-Up was one among them. The show, revolving around the Silicon Valley of Korea, dropped its first episode packed with emotions and a set of backstories. Following the end of a tear-jerking episode, Nielson Korea revealed that Start-Up is off to a good start. Via Soompi, the tvN drama, also starring Nam Joo Hyuk, Kim Seon Ho and Kang Han Na, recorded a nationwide rating of 4.4 per cent and peaked at 5 per cent on its premiere night.

The drama reportedly scored a rating of 2.9 per cent and peaked at 3.3 per cent among viewers of 20 and 49. Start-Up premiered on the same night as Search made its way to OCN. The series, starring f(x)’s Krystal and Jang Dong Yoon as soldiers, scored 2.6 per cent and a peak of 3.2 per cent nationwide rating. The ratings are better than the premiere of Missing: The Other Side which previously held the spot and premiered at an average rating of 1.7 per cent.

However, the weekend was ruled by Lie After Lie. The Channel A drama hit an all-time high with a 5.8 per cent. This not only marked the highest rating for the suspense-romance but it also set the highest viewership ratings achieved by a Channel A drama in the channel's history.
