Suriya and director Bala to reunite for a film 16 years after Pithamagan? Find out

As per reports, director Bala is reportedly in talks with Tamil sensation Suriya Sivakumar for an upcoming film.

Reunion's always bring back fond memories and more so if its between a successful actor and director. As per reports, director Bala is reportedly in talks with Tamil sensation Suriya Sivakumar for an upcoming film. If the project materialises, it will mark the duo’s reunion 16 years after their film Pithamagan. According to a report in Indian Express, Bala was originally to direct the Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy. However, the makers E4 Entertainment were not too satisfied with Bala's work and roped in another director for the project.

Now, speculations are rife that Bala has approached Suriya with a script and if all goes to plan then the duo will reunite after the 2003 drama thriller flick. Suriya is currently shooting for Kaapam and has a host of other films like Suriya 38 and Suriya 39 in the pipeline. Reports suggest that he has shown interest in Bala's script but is yet to sign the dotted line. 

Apart from these films, Suriya will also be seen in NGK alongside Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh. The film is slated to release on May 31 and the official teaser of the film created quite a buzz among the actor's fans and the Tamil audiences. Whereas for Bala, the director has also been working on a multi-starrer and is planning to rope in Atharvaa and Arya for the project.
