Puneeth Rajkumar to be awarded Karnataka Ratna Award posthumously
Puneeth Rajkumar, the son of legendary actor Rajkumar will get Karnataka Ratna which is the state's highest civilian award.
Kannada cinema's Powerstar Puneeth Rajkumar, who passed away recently due to cardiac arrest will be awarded Karnataka Ratna Award posthumously. Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai's official Twitter handle read, "State Government has decided to honour late Sri Puneet Rajkumar with Karnataka Ratna award posthumously."
Puneeth Rajkumar, the son of legendary actor Rajkumar will get Karnataka Ratna which is the State's highest civilian award. The announcement about the same was made at a special event called Puneeth Namana held in Bengaluru on Tuesday, November 16. The actor's contribution to Kannada cinema is incredible.

For the unversed, Puneeth passed away due to a massive cardiac arrest on October 29. He was 46. More than 10 lakh people lined up to pay last respect to the actor in Bengaluru. Puneeth complained about feeling restless and pain after his routine workout session at home. He was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately, couldn't be saved.
