PHOTOS: Valimai's Kartikeya launches his next co-starring Neha Shetty; Wife Lohita attends the event
Kartikeya launched his next project alongside actress Neha Shetty.
After the overwhelming success of Valimai alongside Ajith, Kartikeya has started work on his next project. The star launched his 9th film with a Pooja ceremony today. Kartikeya’s better-half, Lohita was also present at the event and she even switched on the camera for the mahurat shot. Producer Suryadevara Nagavamsi gave the clap and Uppena fame director Buchibabu Sana handed over the script.
Neha Shetty will be accompanying the star in the film's cast as the leading lady. Bankrolled by Ravindra Benerji under the banner of Loukya Entertainments, this exciting drama will be helmed by debutant filmmaker, Clax. C Yuvaraj is presenting the flick tentatively named Kartikeya 9. The shooting of the movie has also commenced simultaneously.

Meanwhile, the makers have also unveiled an engaging concept poster of the film. The picture shows a mixture of colors in a circle with a lot of religious symbols revolving around it. Set against the backdrop of Godavari, the project is billed to be a mixture of drama and comedy. This laughing riot will also have the last song written by the late lyricist Shri Sirivennela Seetharamashastry with music by Mani Sharma.
Ajay Ghosh, Satya, Raj Kumar Kasireddy, Srikanth Ayyengar, 'Auto' Ram Prasad, Goparaju Ramana, LB Sriram, Surabhi Prabhavathi, Kittayya, Anithanath, Divya Narni have also been roped in to play crucial roles in the movie.
Talking about the venture director Clax was quoted saying, "It's a Dramedy Genre movie. Everyone wishes to live uniquely & heart fully but the situations won't let them do it. It's a story of a guy who doesn't care about people's judgements on living his life wishfully."
