Mohanlal starrer Lucifer which marks the directorial debut of actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, opened to an amazing response from the audience and critics alike. Lucifer, the political thriller is said to be Mohanlal’s best film in the career of 40 years. Prithviraj is among the most ambitious stars in the Malayalam film industry and with Lucifer, he has set a huge benchmark as a director. The Malayalam film features Mohanlal in the lead role as Stephen Nedumpally, alongside a supporting cast including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Vivek Oberoi, Manju Warrier and Tovino Thomas others.
Lucifer is not only receiving rave reviews but is also earning huge at the Box office. The film is inching closer to Rs 50 crore mark. The Malayalam film kick-started on a huge note with Rs 6.7 crores in its opening day in Kerala. Despite the full Lucifer movie leaked online, nothing has stopped the audience from watching the film on the big screen. Lucifer managed to witness good growth on the second and third day as well. Mohanlal starrer earned around Rs 7 crore approx on the second day and Rs 6.9 crores at the Kerala box office. Overall, Lucifer has earned Rs 25 crore net approx in Kerala and is expected to touch Rs 50 crore worldwide in the coming days, according to Trade Analysts.
