Prithviraj Sukumaran is among the most ambitious stars in the Malayalam film industry and with Lucifer, he has set a huge benchmark as a director. Not only in India, the film is doing well overseas as well.
The film has minted over Rs 2.7 crores, establishing itself as the biggest opening for a Malayalam film in the USA. The political drama has been released in 78 screens across USA and Canada. The story of Lucifer revolves around what occurs in the aftermath of the death of a ruling party leader. The film is directed by superstar Prithviraj for the first time. Lucifer has an ensemble cast starring Mohanlal, Manju Warrier, Vivek Oberoi and Tovino Thomas in pivotal roles.
Also, Lucifer becomes the first fastest Malayalam film to enter the Rs 50-crore club. Trade Analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted, “#Lucifer has done ₹ 50+ Cr Gross for the Opening weekend at the WW Box office..The fastest Malayalam movie to do that..”
