After the success of Manikarnika, Bollywood Queen Kangana Ranaut has hit the headlines as the actress is all set to play former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha in a biopic. The film is said to be based on the life and times of the former CM and Kangana will also be taking Tamil lessons for the same. Well, a certain section of the audience, especially, people from Tamil Nadu are quite unhappy with Kangana playing the role of their former leader. Tollywood actress Sri Reddy, who often remains in news for all the wrong reasons, also took to social media and expressed her disapproval on the same.
Sri Reddy took to Facebook and wrote, "Iron lady ruled with single finger on her Tamilnadu kingdom..no one replace her,I cant see any other person to do our thalivi role..she is only one..but biopic is so important, and helpful for our next generations to know her..any of our south Indian lady actress is fine but no "kangana ranaut." Well, it remains to see if Kangana can do justice to this role. The movie has been titled as Thalaivi and will be directed by A L Vijay. Reportedly, many South and Bollywood actresses were approached before the makers locked Kangana as the lead to play J Jayalalitha.
Meanwhile, Kangana will also be seen in the upcoming movie Mental Hai Kya opposite actor Rajkummar Rao. The film has been produced by Ekta Kapoor and is directed by Prakash Kovelamudi. It is scheduled to be released on May 24, 2019.
