Nevertheless, everything about the film only helped the makers to increase the recall value of Amala Paul starrer. Recently, filmmaker Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, who directed House Owner, watched the film. Lakshmy took to Twitter and shared her views about the film. The director also challenged Amala if she is ready for an open healthy debate.

Amala Paul starrer Aadai released on July 19 and it received a good response by the fans. Directed by Rathna Kumar, the film also stars Ramya Subramanian in a pivotal role. In the trailer, Amala and Ramya have a kissing scene together, reacting to the same, the lead actress in an interview said, "I went and told Amma that I got a script like this and she was shocked! However, what I liked in her was that she spoke like an audience. She asked, ‘If the story commands such a scene, then think over it and accept’."
