Shakib Al Hasan has been a star for the Bangladesh side in this edition of the World Cup. Ever since he was promoted to number three in the batting order, his contributions to the side with the bat has increased significantly. He has made scores of 75, 64, 121, 124*, 41, 51 and has amassed yet another half-century against India. With this knock, he became the first player in the history of ICC Cricket World Cup to score 500 runs and pick up 10 wickets in a single edition. Also, a fine bowler, his five-wicket haul helped Bangladesh thrash Afghanistan by 62 runs in their previous game.

Here we have a look at some of the tweets:

Earlier in the day, Virat Kohli won the toss and chose to bat first. Once again, it was Rohit Sharma's show as he smashed his fourth century of the tournament and helped India post a total in excess of 300. He stitched together a 180 run partnership with KL Rahul and gave India a strong platform. But the middle-order and lower middle-order batsmen barring Rishabh Pant (48) failed to capitalize as India fell at least 30 runs short of what would have been a good score with the kind of platform set by the openers.

With this century, Rohit Sharma tied with Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara's record for scoring four hundreds in a single World Cup and dislodged David Warner as the leading run getter of this tournament. He also became the second Indian batsmen after Sachin Tendulkar to score 500 runs in a single edition.

A win here for India would seal a spot in the semi-finals whereas Bangladesh must win this game for sure to stay relevant in the competition.
