Remember BTS' V and NIve's Stay At Home Challenge video? Latter REVEALS deets of impromptu songwriting battle

It has been a difficult year for everyone! With COVID-19 locking everyone indoors, BTS has time and again confessed they missed the ARMY. However, several members including V tried to stay connected with the fandom by hosting VLives, Weverse and also posted often on Twitter. One of the Twitter posts included Taehyung jamming with NIve. The video saw the duo humming English lyrics that made no sense whatsoever. The video was shared with Tae giving the fandom the challenge to Stay At Home.

Although the video sparked the probability of the duo collaborating, NIve now reveals how the jam session came into being in the first place. Speaking with @star1 magazine, and translated by Koreaboo, the composer revealed that it was Taehyung who reached out NIve in the first place. The composer revealed that Taehyung informed him that he had asked artist Paul Kim to introduce the two.

"BTS’s V told me that he really enjoyed Paul Kim’s song ‘The Reason for my Spring’ that I wrote and produced. He loved the song so much that he posted it to Twitter before too. He even told me that he asked Paul Kim to introduce him to me. That is how we met. When we first met, we had many similarities from music styles to personalities," NIve said.

Explaining the reason behind the impromptu video, he revealed, "We met and had fun making music together and that’s what ended up becoming the “songwriting battle’. We wanted to give strength to those that were having a hard time due to the pandemic so we decided to participate in the “stay at home” challenge in this way. The title of the video seems like something big but honestly it’s just us two having fun while making music. It was a really fun time."

What a sweet gesture, NIve and Taehyung! We hope we witness more such moments in the future.
