The Independence Day 2017 came with another big festival Janamasthmi that marks the birth of Lord Krishna. As we say that any festivity is incomplete without Bollywood tadka, yesterday we had the jovial Ranveer Singh adding that masala to the Dahi Handi ceremony in the city.
Ranveer, being his energetic self, sent his fans into a frenzy when he greeted all of them and danced to the tunes of Bajirao Mastani's Malhari. Ranveer was seen wearing a blue kurta and white pyjama. The crowd was hooting for Ranveer's performance and he kept the vibe of the festivity alive with his zeal and enthusiasm.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranveer is currently shooting for Padmavati which is being helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The magnum opus also stars Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor. Ranveer will be playing the main antagonist Alauddin Khilji, Deepika plays the titular character Rani Padmini and Shahid her husband Raja Rawal Ratan Singh. While the movie was a victim of many delays due to disruption of sets and costumes by protesters, Bhansali is adamant to release the movie on its scheduled date that is November 17, 2017. The trio will complete the shooting of the movie by October.
Ranveer will also be seen playing the role of a street rapper in Gully Boys which also stars Alia Bhatt and is being helmed by Zoya Akhtar. Recently Rohit Shetty confirmed that he will be collaborating with Ranveer for his next movie which will be a raw action film. Reportedly, the movie is a remake of the Tamil film Temper which starred Junior NTR and Kajal Aggarwal.
