Kriti Sanon, Rajkummar Rao and Karan Johar up the glam quotient at an awards show, see PICS

Kriti Sanon, Rajkummar Rao and Karan Johar attended the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards today. 

Kriti made heads turn in a red and black outfit. She tied her hair in a bun and completed her look with statement earrings. She was bestowed with the award for her memorable performance in the sleeper hit Bareilly Ki Barfi. Playing a free-spirited small town girl, Kriti was phenomenal as 'Bitti'.The movie also starred Rajkummar Rao and Ayushmann Khurrana. 

Rajkummar also made a dapper appearance at the event. He opted for a shirt and black trousers. He was bestowed with the ‘Entertainer of the Year’ Award. On the other hand, Karan Johar looked dapper in a black suit which he teamed with quirky sunglasses. He was honored with the award for Best TV Host.

Yami Gautam will be next seen in Shree Narayan Singh’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu. About her role in the film, she had said, “I think it is very interesting, quirky, entertaining and has a lot of substance at the same time. I am extremely happy to be working with the team. I play a lawyer in a film for the first time. So, I am very happy.”

Rajkummar is currently busy promoting his next film with Hansal Mehta, Omerta. In the film, Rajkummar Rao plays Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, a terrorist.

Talking about the film, he recently said, ''It’s a dark world. I had no idea about this guy. Where he came from, what he did. The process started by reading the script and reading about his life on the internet. Then I started growing my beard and building muscle because Omar was a strong guy. I was in London for almost three weeks. I learnt the language and tried to understand the culture because this character comes from London. I read a couple of books and interviews on terrorism.''

Karan Johar recently announced his next big project. Titled Kalank, the film stars Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha.
