Karan Johar and Mohit Marwah visit Sonam Kapoor's residence; Harshvardhan Kapoor welcomes them

B-town's very own fashionista Sonam Kapoor is all set to tie the knot with beau Anand Ahuja on May 8 this year. According to a report in Mid-Day, Sonam has given strict instructions to her extended family to keep mum on the wedding plans and details.

Preparations are on in full swing and Sonam’s cousins have already started rehearsing for the sangeet celebrations. Today, shutterbugs captured the stunning decorations at Sonam Kapoor’s residence. We also saw many celebs visiting the actor's house for the pre-wedding event. 

Karan Johar, Harshvardhan Kapoor and cousin Mohit Marwah were clicked outside the house.

In an interview to The National, Sonam had said that she would prefer to give away the money instead of spending a handsome amount on an extravagant wedding. “I think the whole idea of a marriage is more appealing to me than a wedding. I think there is too much money spent; it’s all very crass, and I would rather give that money away,'' she had said. 

She further added that she’d prefer to have a wedding at home with complete rituals. “I’d rather have a wedding at home than anywhere else. I think it’s important to do all the rituals, but I don’t believe in spending all that money, I find it disgusting and very wasteful, and I’m not okay with that at all,” she added.

Meanwhile, Sonam will be seen in Veere Di Wedding which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania.

It is directed by Shashanka Ghosh and is set to hit the screens on June 1, 2018. The film is co-produced by Rhea and Ekta Kapoor.
