Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh shine at Gully Boy's wrap-up party

Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh have finally wrapped up the shoot of Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy. The film is based on the lives of rappers Divine and Naezy and is slated to release on February 14, 2019.

The wrap-up party of the film was held today in the city. Alia, Ranveer, Zoya and Kalki Koechlin made a stylish appearance at the party. Rapper Divine was also clicked arriving at the bash. 

Alia looked stunning in a shimmery outfit. She styled her look with dewy makeup and black heels. Ranveer certainly upped his style game with his quirky avatar, yet again. He opted for a bright yellow tee and floral pants. He sported cool sunglasses and sneakers. The two were all smiles and even posed for the shutterbugs present there.

Kalki looked beautiful in a white outfit which she teamed with a cream waistcoat. Reportedly, she will also be seen playing the character of a rapper.

Ranveer and Alia have teamed up for the first time for a film. Talking about Alia, Ranveer had said, ‘’Alia Bhatt is one of the most mind-boggling actors that I have ever worked with. She is a very special actor. The film is shaping up very well. We released the first look from ‘Gully boy’ and people have really felt some kind of emotion just looking at those two still images we released."

About Zoya Akhtar, he had said, “My sincere thanks to Zoya for being with me. She has waited since quite some time to make this film. She pitched it to me during Befikre. Zoya and Reema Kagti, our premium writers have written such a moving script. What also makes Gully boy special, is that I’m going to play a full-fledged Mumbaiya character. It’s my tribute to my city.”

On the other hand, talking about Ranveer, Alia had said, “Ranveer is a complete crackpot. I have worked with him in ads, and I think I have an idea about what shooting is going to be like. I’m excited because Gully Boy is an emotional story, and our characters are very interesting, so it will be a unique combination. I have always wanted to work with Zoya (Akhtar), who I think is absolutely fab. This year, I am working with two actors and two directors who I’ve always wanted to work with.”
